정진열은 국민대학교 시각디자인학과를 졸업하고 제로원디자인센터 아트 디렉터를 거쳐 현재 예일대 예술대학원 석사과정에 있다. 프로젝트 ‘부재(2001)’, ‘이미지와의 대화(2003)’, ‘어떤 것들의 목록(2005)’을 통해 개인의 기억과 경험에 바탕으로 한 작업들을 진행해왔던 그는 최근 들어 커뮤니티와의 공간의 정체성에 대한 물음들에 관심을 두고 있다. 이 책은 현재 진행중인 작업들의 한 부분을 묶은 것이다.
Jin Jung born in South Korean, and studied visual communications at Kookmin University. After graduating from school, he focused intently on personal experience of memory and language. It was the main part of projects as ‘Absent(2001)’, ‘Imagelogue(2003)’, and ‘List of Something(2005)’. Currently he is studying at Yale School of Art(MFA), and has interested in the identity of community and space. This book is a part of his current studies.
